A KICKSTART FULL BODY KB/DB ONLY WORKOUT (whichever you prefer) coming at ya!! Perfect to kickstart yourself with into the new season π₯
Yesterday I felt comfortable in one colored BROWN pants. Today I felt like hiding in the gym, wore black and even a cap. And thatβs ok! But Iβm here doing the work πͺ We might be uncomfortable today and then we do what we can with what we have. We put in that work for ourselves, that 1%, so we feel GOOD. And it will keep feeling better and better each time we show up for ourselves π€©
Use this workout as a one time waking-up-the-body-after-vacation session, or add parts of it as a finisher to your next workout! Like, I swear your glutes will BURN if you add the legs superset as a finisher to your next leg day π Here, we have it as a sweet sweet workout wakeup π
If I can, so can you β€οΈ Letβs goooo!
A KICKSTART FULL BODY KB/DB ONLY WORKOUT ROUTINE:
1. SUPERSET of Swings+RDLs+Squats – 3 sets x 20 reps
π‘ Key note: Meaning you rest AFTER 20 of each, then repeat two more times! This is a high-pulse superset, so make sure you don’t neglect form when it starts feeling challenging.
2. Rows – 3 x 12 per arm
π‘ Key note: Activate core and imagine you’re pulling the weight towards your belly button for the right muscle contact.
3. Upright Rows – 3 x 12
π‘ Key note: Flare elbows outwards!
4. Bicep curls to Shoulder Presses – 3 x 12 per arm
π‘ Key note: Keep elbow close in the curl and really “shoot” the weight towards the roof on the press.
5. Bent-Over Tricep Extensions – 3 x 12 per arm
π‘ Key note: Keep elbow close and really focus on the tricep working. Go ALL the way!
6. Standing Side Crunches – 3 x 15 per side
π‘ Key note: Keep hips and shoulders squared and focus on working the sides of the abs.
7. Push-ups – 3 x AMRAP (as many reps as possible). From knees or toes!
π‘ Key note: Keep back straight by activating the core!
SET REST: 60 seconds between EACH set!
NOTE: You do NOT have to use the same weight for all exercises! Pick the one that feels challenging but not impossible to YOU.
Let me know if you try it and how your body feels afterwards π
Much love, strength & joy,
Johanna
